Come Volunteer at an IRC Community Garden Site!
Do you enjoy spending time outside, helping to grow vegetables and flowers, and enjoying fresh air in a beautiful setting? Are you interested in meeting members of your community and supporting refugee gardeners? Then join us as a garden volunteer! Garden volunteers support the development and management of a new schoolyard and refugee garden in Holladay City. Volunteers commit to visiting the garden at least once a week, and volunteer projects include weeding, helping with wildflower and perennial plantings, compost management, irrigation system maintenance, and tool organization. Volunteers will also be able to help gardeners cultivate their gardens and they may also participate in garden trainings and activities. This is a fun and flexible volunteer opportunity that will allow you to improve your gardening skills, contribute to an exciting community project, and interact with other members of your community.
