IRC selected for Riverton High School's annual Silver Rush fundraiser
Each year, Riverton High School selects a charity to bring awareness to a social issue through their annual Silver Rush fundraiser. Students commit to volunteering, raising funds and collecting donated items for a non-profit organization. This year the IRC's Salt Lake City office was selected.
Student's kicked off the month long event with an impressive assembly highlighting the work of the IRC through the theme "What Kind of World do Want?". Students will volunteer at the IRC through out December as well as embark on grassroots fundraising activities including "Odd Jobs" where students volunteer to do household activities for neighbors in exchange for donations, and a John Schmidt benefit concert to be held on December 15th at 7pm.
