Thank you Goldman Sachs Community Team Works!
On Friday April 20th, the International Rescue Committee welcomed 25 eager volunteers to dig in and get their hands dirty at the Mt. Olympus garden. The volunteers helped weed, move compost, planted fruit trees, built a perennial bed and laid weed barrier to get the gardens ready for refugee gardeners to begin planting this month. The Goldman Sachs Community Team Works volunteers were a tremendous help to us. Our deepest to all who volunteered!
There are numerous volunteer and mentoring opportunities available for those interested in helping with garden projects or working with refugee gardeners. If you are interested in volunteering at one of the gardens or coordinating a team, please contact our volunteer coordinator at lyn.spataro@rescue.org for more information!
