Two Americorps VISTA positions opening at the IRC in Salt Lake City!

The IRC in Salt Lake City has two new Americorps VISTA positions opening up this winter. Listed below are position descriptions and links to apply if you are interested in joining the IRC team.

Global Kitchen Alliance Assistant:

Under the direction of the Project Director, the Global Kitchen Alliance AmeriCorps Vista position will assist  to increase the capacity of IRC in Salt Lake City’s Global Kitchen Alliance program to provide commercial kitchen space and training/technical assistance for refugees interested in starting their own food business, including developing community relations, develop kitchen incubator site protocols, raising restricted and unrestricted funds and  in-kind donations, recruiting volunteers and promoting  community awareness of the program.

New Roots Program Assistant:

Under the direction of the Refugee Agriculture Coordinator, the AmeriCorps VISTA New Roots Program Assistant will increase the capacity of IRC in Salt Lake City and New Roots of Utah, a refugee agriculture program in partnership with Salt Lake County and the Utah Refugee Coalition, by developing assessment and outreach materials, contributing to land and marketing expansion, developing community partnerships, and increasing the visibility of New Roots to leverage funds and support.
