Utah Governor declares June as “Refugee Month””

On Tuesday, May 10, 2011, Governor Gary R. Herbert declared June as “Refugee Month” in Utah.  To celebrate and help integrate refugees in Utah events will be held throughout the entire month of June based around this year's theme “Voices of Courage.”  Governor Herbert's declaration states, “Refugees do not choose to leave their homes, but are forced to flee from persecution and terror in their native countries.”  For a list of events or more information, please visit the Utah Refugee Coalition website.
