Just like San Diego Restaurant Week, the seven participating restaurants will create a special prix fixe menu ($15) featuring special appetizers, main courses and desserts every night.
The seven participating restaurants are:
* Clients of the IRC Microenterprise Program
On Friday night, October 19, there will be kick-off event at the World Beat Center (in Balboa Park on Park Blvd). The $10 admission includes a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony (7pm), a sample of food from each of the seven restaurants, Ethiopian wine/beer tasting, a vegetarian cooking class (8pm), and live African music (10pm).
During the week, there will be also special events at the restaurants, including cooking classes. Click here for a schedule.
