Best Spring Break Ever!

AnzaBorrego

High School Students participating in IRC’s Students Plus program enjoyed a busy spring break.

There were activities each day including movie night (Jurassic Park), video games,  a hike at Torrey Pines, trip to the Women’s Museum, Anza Borrego Desert hike, and a ferry ride to Coronado. The students had a great time.

The youth pictured above participated in a tour of City Hall and a round table discussion with Interim Mayor of San Diego, Todd Gloria, where they asked how the city is run and learned about the myriad of employment opportunities in public service. As part of the IRC in San Diego’s Connect2Work program, students prepare for various career pathways through training, internships, and career exploration activities.
