To become an engineer again
On Thursday, November 17, the IRC in San Diego’s Career Society held a career panel for recently arrived refugees who were civil engineers in their country. The panel brought together industry representatives from SDGE, Nasland Engineering, Burkett and Wong, AECOM and Suffolk-Roel for an informal discussion on how to re-enter the industry.
The event was a great success and touched upon important topics, such as certification and new computer modeling software, for those looking to pursue a career in engineering in the U.S.
Special thanks to Keri Heuberger, Molly Frisbie, Shannon Lehman, Drew Peterson and Ambrose Wong for their guidance and continued support!
