Meet Amina Musa - High School Graduate

The San Diego Union Tribune recently published a story about Amina Musa, a refugee teen from Somalia, who participates in the IRC Students Plus After School Program.  Amina arrived in the US 6 years ago at age 12, unable to read or write in any language.  She could not speak English and had never been to school. 

Amina attended the Students Plus Program nearly every day for homework help over the past four years.  Amina recently passed the California High School Exit Exam and will receive her high school diplman in June.   Congratulations!
