Directory of Refugee Owned Businesses Available
The IRC Microenterprise Program has published a beautiful business directory featuring refugee owned businesses in San Diego. All of the businesses included received assistance from the IRC to start or enhance their business. There are 66 businesses featured and the directory includes restaurants/catering, limousine services, childcare, handyman services, art/crafts/imported items, and more.
Please take a look at the directory and patronize a refugee owned business!

The Microenterprise Program supports refugee entrepreneurs in every step of starting and expanding a business, including: planning and research, license and permit applications, bookkeeping, and marketing and advertising. Many refugees were business owners in their home country and prevail over cultural, linguistic, and economic barriers in the United States to become business owners again.
The IRC Microenterprise Program offers start up grants and business loans of up to $15,000. Since 2000, the program has facilitated access to nearly $1 million in capital to San Diego's refugee entrepreneurs, while maintaining a 96% repayment rate on its loan portfolio. The IRC has assisted in the creation of over 150 refugee owned businesses since 2000.
