Summer Volunteer Positions

To apply for a volunteer or internship position at the IRC for the summer of 2013, please fill out the form below and you will be contacted with additional instructions to begin your application!  All of our summer volunteer/internship positions are listed below. The summer application registration is for individuals who would like to submit their application early, in anticipation of the summer. Our normal, ongoing volunteer positions  (non-summer) are filled on a first come, first serve basis and we cannot reserve those positions for applicants who want to begin volunteering more than 2 or 3 weeks after submitting an application. 

Each person’s application process will be slightly different, but all applicants must complete 4 steps before they can begin volunteering or interning:

1) You must submit an application (see form below)
2) You must complete an interview (in person or over the phone) for any volunteer/internship position
3) Once offered a position, you must complete a background check, for which the IRC asks that you contribute $20 (you can submit this online)
4) You must attend a general IRC Volunteer Orientation when you arrive in San Diego
