Warwicks - IRC Literacy Campaign: Just mention IRC until July 31

Mention IRC when making a purchase at Warwick's Books in La Jolla and Warwick's will donate 20% of your sale to the IRC First Things First Family Learning Center up to $5,000.    The campaign will run from now until July 31st.

The First Things First program offers literacy, English, and job skills to refugee adults while preparing refugee children for kindergarten. Children in the program start kindergarten with the necessary learning skills which helps to pave the way for a more successful academic career.   Currently, the parents must attend the onsite adult classes for the children to attend the preschool. Click here to watch a short video about the First Things First Family Learning Center.

The IRC is applying for a childcare license which will allow working parents to enroll their children in the preschool, increase the number of children in the program, and allow the IRC to receive county childcare stipends.  The IRC needs to raise $20,000 by July 31st to make the classroom and playground modifications required for the childcare license.
