Help us celebrate World Refugee Day with the World Affairs Council!

The IRC in San Francisco is co-sponsoring a World Affairs Council of Northern California program entitled “World Refugee Day: 60 Years of Protection” with the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
 
When: June 16 from 6:30-7:45 PM
 
Where: The Fairmont Hotel in Nob Hill, San Francisco.
 
The program commemorates the 60th anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention and the establishment of UNHCR and features speakers Khaled Hosseini, UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and Author of "The Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns;" Vincent Cochetel, UNHCR Regional Representative in the United States and the Caribbean; and Ambassador David Robinson, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, US Department of State. Elizabeth Farnsworth, Correspondent for PBS NewsHour will moderate.
 
All IRC constituents will receive the World Affairs Council member rate of $10, a savings of $10 over the non-member rate.
