The IRC in San Francisco Bids Farewell to Janet Zan

The staff would like to wish a fond farewell to our own Janet Zan, who left us last week to accept a position with the IRC Overseas Processing Entity (OPE) in Malaysia. Janet worked with IRC in Oakland primarily with clients from Myanmar, serving Karen, Karenni, Chin and other ethnic minorities for nearly three and a half years, and was an enormous asset to the casework team. In addition to her work in the office, Janet was also involved in the local Karen community and church. She will be greatly missed, and we would like to wish her all the best in her new pursuits in Malaysia.
