IRC San Francisco Celebrates Thanksgiving!

The International Rescue Committee San Francisco will be hosting its annual Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner on Thursday, November 19th, at the Lake Merritt Methodist Church in Oakland. The event is held in honor of the newly arrived refugees we serve and will act both as an introduction for many to the Thanksgiving tradition here in America and a celebration of the newfound freedom, personal liberty, and opportunities that have recently become available to them here in the Bay Area. The Thanksgiving Potluck has become a favorite event over the years, and this year we expect over 200 refugees and their families, staff, and volunteers to attend.
 
We need volunteers for a variety of tasks before, during, and after the event - picking up refugees and bringing them to the event, setting up, orchestrating food lines, taking pictures, cleaning up, and more.
