The IRC Thanks the Y & H Soda Foundation for their Continued Support
The IRC in San Francisco received a $20,000 grant from Y & H Soda Foundation to support Oakland’s Employment program for refugees and asylees. The IRC assists arriving refugees and ayslees gain employment through a combination of mentoring, job skills training, financial and language literacy instruction, and job placement services.
With the support of foundation such as Y & H Soda Foundation, the IRC anticipates that program participants, who demonstrate a high degree of resilience, motivation, and entrepreneurship, will continue to build a life themselves and their families and contribute to the local economy.
