Donate New or Gently Used Items to the IRC

Most refugees arrive in the U.S. with little more than a few possessions. The IRC in Seattle anticipates that we will resettle almost 600 refugees this coming year, and we rely on support from the community to provide them with a furnished, welcoming home upon their arrival. Please help the IRC make a comforting new home for refugee families with your donation of new or gently used items to go into apartments. The items listed below are those that are currently needed for household setups:
    * Twin or full fitted and flat bed sheets
    * Blankets
    * Pots
    * Pans
    * Frying pans
    * Utensils
    * Sharp cutting knives
    * Unused toiletries (toothbrushes, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, razors)
    * Diapers
    * TVs
    * Water glasses
    * Microwaves
    * Kettles
    * Hangers
    * DVD players
    * Rice cookers
    * Bikes
    * Digital cable converters/antennas
    * Coffee tables
    * Couches
    * Dining tables
    * Dining table covers and place mats
