Donate New or Gently Used Items to the IRC

Helping a newly arrived refugee create a home takes the efforts of many.  With over 500 refugees arriving through the IRC in Seattle this year, there are many households to set up.  Please help us make the new homes for refugee families as comfortable as possible with your donation of new or gently used items to go into apartments.  The items listed below are those that are currently needed for household setups:

    * Twin or full fitted and flat bed sheets
    * Blankets
    * Pots
    * Pans
    * Frying pans
    * Utensils
    * Sharp cutting knives
    * Unused toiletries (toothbrushes, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, razors)
    * Diapers
    * TVs
    * Water glasses
    * Microwaves
    * Kettles
    * Hangers
    * DVD players
    * Rice cookers
    * Bikes
    * Digital cable converters/antennas
    * Coffee tables
    * Couches
    * Dining tables
    * Dining table covers and place mats
    * Pillows
    * Clock radios
    * Brooms
    * Vacuums

You can also support local refugees by helping provide tickets to the following activities:

    * Skating
    * Movies
    * Zoo
    * Aquarium
    * Dance lessons
    * Knitting lessons
    * IMAX
    * Museum of Flight
