Join Team IRC in the Seattle Marathon!

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Seattle is calling for runners and walkers to join the ranks of Team IRC in this year’s Seattle Marathon on November 28, 2010. This is the sixth time Seattle IRC has entered a team in the marathon, and this year organizers are aiming to attract at least 50 motivated and community –minded people to run or walk in the marathon or half marathon.

The team will raise funds and awareness in support of refugees who have recently moved to Seattle to rebuild their lives as well as victims of human trafficking. To join the team members will commit to raising at least $150 for IRC in Seattle through an individualized fundraising page.
 
Team IRC member benefits include a discounted marathon registration, fundraising support, limited edition Team IRC Running Shirts, a training program and ongoing running support, as well as a celebration dinner at Tutta Bella Pizzeria in the week following the marathon.
