John Legend meets refugee students

On July 7, John Legend visited the IRC's Refugee Youth Summer Academy in New York, where newly arrived refugee kids and teens are learning to adjust to life and school in the United States.
The Grammy-winning recording artist is also an IRC Voice, working to raise awareness of the humanitarian needs of refugees. He believes that education is the civil rights issue of our time and works with his nonprofit, the Show Me Campaign, to improve educational opportunities for all children.
