It is my pleasure to welcome you to the International Rescue Committee in San Diego’s Web site.  It is my hope that you will regularly visit our Web site and stay informed on the numerous activities offered by the San Diego office.

For more than 34 years the IRC in San Diego has provided effective, innovative resettlement services designed to assist refugees to rebuild their lives and achieve sustainable self-reliance.  Regularly the Web site will feature stories, articles and photographs on the achievements of the refugees we serve.  Our staff of fifty who administer more than two dozen programs will provide ample information to help keep our Web site fresh with new and interesting accounts of our work assisting the thousands of refugees who seek our assistance each year.

The Web site will also advise you of ways that you can get involved with our work in San Diego including: volunteer opportunities, financial support or grassroots advocacy.  I urge you to become active in our efforts to assist refugees to make a safe and secure life for themselves and their families here in San Diego.
