This March, the IRC in Atlanta’s Gender Equality Committee organized a series of activities and events to celebrate and acknowledge International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.
The IRC in Atlanta's Adult Education programs hosted a special themed lesson and art workshop where clients, staff and volunteers gathered to learn about women who've made their mark on history and paint portraits of the important women in their lives.
Staff members at the IRC in Atlanta also made International Women’s Day pledges and renewed their commitment to fight for a world where women and girls are given an equal chance to succeed.
Launched in April 2018, the IRC in Atlanta’s Gender Equality Committee aims to remove gender-based barriers and empower women and girls by ensuring gender equality across all programming.
