GenR: Salt Lake City

Last updated

Welcome to GenR: SLC

GenR—short for Generation Rescue—is a group of young, influential humanitarians who have joined forces with the International Rescue Committee to help people survive conflict and disaster and rebuild their lives.

Inspired, informed and influential, GenR members in Salt Lake City — and across the country — engage their communities in support of the IRC through a range of advocacy, educational, networking and fundraising activities. They are also given the opportunity to directly support refugees resettled in Salt Lake City through unique volunteer opportunities with various programs at the IRC in Salt Lake City.

Through quarterly events, members are working together to foster a community that spreads across all GenR chapters. To learn more about how you can get involved in GenR: SLC, contact Jesse Sheets, development manager, at GenRSLC [at] Rescue.org.

GenR: SLC’s Leadership Committee members help provide guidance to Salt Lake City’s GenR efforts by recruiting members, planning events, and in the overall strategy of the GenR: SLC chapter. GenR Leaders are committed to the mission of the IRC, meet monthly, and host or co-host one GenR event per year. GenR Leaders help to shape the future of one of the largest humanitarian aid organizations in the world.

You can join GenR: SLC.  Not in Salt Lake City? Don’t worry. GenR continues to grow. Visit www.Rescue.org/GenR to learn more about the cities that have GenR chapters. Be sure to like us on Facebook to stay up to date with GenR news and events.
