The winter weather here in Missoula is finally rounding the corner into spring. While everyone here is relieved to see the sun again, the change in the season and end to the school year at the university means that four of our all-star interns will be rotating out of the office.
The staff would like to take an opportunity to thank them for all of their hard work, dedication, and thoughtful approaches to working with refugee families!
"Laine is already missed so much. What a dynamic human being! She was crucial in creating and implementing our Job Readiness Training class: a 6 week introductory employment class for newly arrived refugees that covers job search, applications, US work culture and so much more. I also heard her making multiple cold calls to employers trying to get one of our clients hired in carpentry. Laine was so creative and willing to come up with new strategies to help build community in addition to her work with employment."
"Bailey has been such an incredible intern. She jumped in with both feet on her first day and never stopped. She is so proactive in not only assisting with tasks at hand but also contributing wonderful ideas, solutions and suggestions that were put into action. She is so kind and welcoming to the clients and goes above and beyond to help them feel assisted and welcome! She caught on to everything so quickly and always made time for fun with families. We will miss her smiling face around here!"
"Annelise has been such a welcoming presence to have in our office! What a focused and kind human being! We can’t thank Annelise enough for being the AR-11 rockstar, and filling them out so attentively and timely. She is completely on top of it, and completes her tasks at hand in such a focused manner. She went above and beyond in assisting with transportation, housing and helping the clients feel assisted and welcomed upon arrival!"
"Erin’s smiling face will be missed! What a positive person! Such a joy to be in her presence. She always jumped into action when there was a last-minute immediate need for something. She never hesitated to assist and always brought such positive and calm energy to the office when she was here. Her thoughtful and present approach was such an asset in our office where things often go from slow and steady to fast paced very quickly! Congrats to graduating, we’ll miss you Erin!"
Good luck to our wonderful interns in all of your future endeavors! We all look forward to the opportunity to work with you again!
