The IRC in Midland is committed to bringing our refugee clients from harm to home. As a part of that commitment, we provide them with necessities – such as clothing and household items – they will need to start rebuilding their lives here. To do this, the IRC relies on donated items from community partners that are passed into the hands of our clients free of charge either through our Resettlement Shop or as part of an initial apartment setup.
The IRC’s uses donations to set up apartments for newly arrived refugees. Once a quarter, refugees are able to shop for additional items in our donation storage. An extensive list of acceptable and most needed items is below. Most needed items right now? Gift cards, household supplies and school supplies.
Donations can be made by bringing items to the IRC in Midland office between 9am and 5pm, ideally on Monday or Tuesdays.. We’re located at 3106 North Big Spring Road, Suite 200 in Midland.
If you are interested in donating items or have any questions, please contact VolunteerMidland [at] Rescue.org or at 432 262 0212.
