If you are looking for additional ways to get involved with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Tallahassee, there are various donation opportunities available. In-kind donations, in addition to monetary donations, assist refugee families and individuals as they strive to reclaim control of their future and become integrated into the Tallahassee community. By providing in-kind donations to the IRC, we can ensure that refugees build a firm foundation in the United States.

Our current in-kind donation needs include the following:
- Furniture: Gently used or new couches, dining tables and dining chairs.
- Cleaning supplies: Mop, broom, paper towels, all-purpose cleaning spray, bathroom cleaning spray, sponges, trash bags, dish detergent, laundry detergent etc.
- Bedding: Pillows, twin and full sheet sets (flat and fitted), twin and full blankets and/or comforters, stuffed animal toys for children etc.
- Bathroom items: Shower curtains and rings, toilet brush, bath mats, toothbrush and soap holders, plunger, bath towels etc.
- Kitchen items: Pots, pans, baking dishes, kitchen utensils, cleaning rags, mixing bowls, silverware, plates, bowls etc.
- Hygiene items: Toothbrush, deodorant, hair brush, body lotion, toothpaste, shampoo, soap etc.
Gift Card Drive
Gift cards to stores like Walmart, Target and Ross offer newly-arrived refugees the opportunity to choose for themselves the things they need. We are always happy to receive donated gift cards that we can place directly into the hands of our clients!
