Please join the IRC in Atlanta and our partners in the Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies (CRSA) this Valentine’s Day—Tuesday, February 14, 2023—for the tenth annual New Americans Celebration at the Georgia State Capitol. The New Americans Celebration is the annual day of education and outreach for refugees, immigrants, and allied communities. For ten years running, hundreds of you have joined us to help elevate the stories and contributions of Georgia's refugees and immigrants and advocate for a more welcoming state. This year, we invite you to join us again on February 14, 2023 as we engage with state lawmakers and encourage them to support legislation that protects and uplifts Georgia's new Americans.
#NAC23 will include a press conference featuring special guest speakers and an advocacy opportunity where YOU can take action in support policies that support new American community members in Georgia.
We welcome student groups, English language learners, first-time advocates, and especially new Americans to participate in this event by joining us at the Capitol on February 14. Get ready to show just how much #GALovesRefugees and take action alongside advocates from across the state!
This event is free, but please register in advance so we can capture your participation in these important advocacy efforts! Register here.
