Voting in Washington state

Register to vote online or by mail through Monday, October 26, 2020 to participate in the General Election on November 3, 2020. Use the online form below to register now.

You may register to vote in person though 8pm on Election Day, November 3, 2020. Contact your County Elections Department to learn more.

To register to vote in Washington, you must be:

  • A citizen of the United States;
  • A legal resident of Washington State;
  • At least 18 years old by Election Day;
  • Not disqualified from voting due to a court order; and
  • Not under Department of Corrections supervision for a Washington felony conviction.

Washington's 18-day voting period begins October 16, 2020 and ends on Election Day, November 3, 2020 at 8pm.

Ballots are automatically mailed to registered voters. Ballots may be returned by mail (postmarked by November 3rd; no postage required) or official ballot drop box by November 3rd at 8pm. Click here for more information on voting in Washington.
