Reserve your holiday gift basket today!

Are you looking for unique gifts this holiday season? We have just the thing. Refugee and new American entrepreneurs working with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Salt Lake City’s small business services have come together to offer gift baskets filled with one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted products that reflect their culture, passion for their craft, and love for their new home in Salt Lake City.

These holiday gift baskets are the ultimate way to support local businesses while finding a unique present for anyone in your life. The baskets are full of high-quality, unique products from IRC clients who own local small businesses. This gift is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face, whether it’s a loved one or yourself!

We’ve made ordering your holiday basket quick and easy:

  1. Review your basket options and pick which products you would like.
  2. Order your basket here. Select which basket option you would like and which day you would like to pick up your basket, either Friday, December 10 or Saturday, December 11 from 9am to 6pm. Then Venmo IRC’s Holiday Basket account your payment and selected pin number from your order form. Venmo is easy to download and easy to use. If you have any payment problems, please email Mattie.Vandel [at] rescue.org.
  3. A confirmation email from Mattie.Vandel [at] Rescue.org will be sent to your email after you place your order. Please note that this email may not be immediate, and may take up to 1 business day to receive.
  4. Instructions for pick up from the IRC office will be emailed to you the week of December 1. We are unable to ship the holiday baskets. Holiday baskets must be picked up from the IRC office at 221 South 400 West, Salt Lake City, UT.

By filling in an order form for a New American Holiday Gift Basket, you are pledging your support of refugee and new American small businesses. All funds received through the sale of the Holiday Gift Baskets will be directed to the refugee and new American entrepreneurs who contributed their crafts or services to each basket. You can learn more about the entrepreneurs in our Entrepreneur Directory below. This is a sale of goods and not a fundraiser for the International Rescue Committee in Salt Lake City. Tax-deductible receipts are not available when purchasing a New American Holiday Gift Basket.

IRC Post Card and Pin

Holiday baskets will be available for $50. All profits will go directly to entrepreneurs. Please note that items may not be exactly as appears. Changes in the color/design of some items may occur. The only customization possible is your choice between a bowtie and a headband. Unfortunately, you cannot choose which business you get jewelry or the handmade basket from- thank you for understanding. Every effort will be made to ensure you are happy with your holiday basket.

Orders will be accepted through Friday, December 3rd. If you need to cancel your basket or revise your order, the last day to do so will be Monday, December 6.

New American Holiday Gift Basket FAQ:

I like most of the products in one basket, but there’s a product or two I would like to switch out. Can I request product substitutions?

Unfortunately, we cannot substitute products in any particular basket. If you would like to order an individual product not included in your selected basket(s), please contact the entrepreneur directly. You can find entrepreneur contact information listed below in our Entrepreneur Directory below.

Can I buy more than one gift basket?

Of course! However, supplies are limited, so we suggest ordering ASAP. Order here>

When and where can I pick up my order?

Baskets will be available for pick-up between Friday, December 10 or Saturday, December 11 from 9am to 6pm at the IRC office located at 221 South 400 West, Salt Lake City, UT. You will choose your pickup date when placing your order and will be sent an invoice after placing your order.

Can you ship a basket to me?

Unfortunately, no. We are unable to ship the Holiday Gift Baskets. The baskets will need to be picked up directly from our office on the dates available. If you are interested in specific items listed above, contact the entrepreneur directly to learn more about their availability to ship items across the state or country. Neither pick-up day works for me. Can I pick up another day?

If possible, please plan to pick up your basket on the day you’ve chosen. If you are unavailable on the pickup day, consider sending someone in your place. If the two days listed don’t work at all, please contact Mattie Vandel by email at Mattie.Vandel [at] Rescue.org before placing your order.

I would like to order a few products individually. How can I do that?

You can order individual products from the entrepreneurs by contacting them directly. Learn more about each business and how to contact them by reviewing our Entrepreneur Directory below.

I need to change or cancel my order. Who should I contact?

Is my purchase tax-deductible?

No. All proceeds go directly to the refugee and new American entrepreneurs. This is not a fundraiser for the IRC in Salt Lake City.
