Please donate to the IRC in Atlanta this GAgives on #GivingTuesday and help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 by the end of November to ensure newly arriving refugee families from Afghanistan and other crisis zones around the world have the support they need to integrate and thrive in our communities. No donation amount is too small!

Over the last few weeks, the IRC in Atlanta has welcomed more than 400 humanitarian parolees from Afghanistan who were recently evacuated to the U.S.—including pregnant women, babies and young children—and with many more families on the way, we need your help.

The IRC in Atlanta has launched a $1.7 million fundraising campaign to ensure we can welcome and support 860 Afghan allies and 900 refugees from other crisis zones around the world in 2022.

Help us raise $50,000 from compassionate Georgians—like YOU—by the end of November to:

  • Pay for temporary housing for newly arrived Afghan families staying in hotels and Airbnbs as our team works to secure long-term housing solutions
  • Provide school supplies, hygiene kits, food boxes and hot meals to newly arrived families
  • Cover pre-existing as well as unforeseen medical costs for vulnerable new arrivals
  • Increase local staff capacity to serve newly arrived families and ensure each family has the support necessary to successfully integrate and thrive in communities throughout Georgia

Please recommit to this work alongside us and make a donation to support the IRC in Atlanta and the people we serve this GAgives on #GivingTuesday. You don’t have to wait until November 30 to make your donation—please visit our GAgives on #GivingTuesday profile and pledge your gift to support refugees in Georgia today!
