This year, the IRC in San Jose is celebrating our 40th anniversary. Since opening in 1979, the San Jose office has resettled over 20,000 refugees who in turn have helped build a stronger community across. And while it has been the work of exceptional staff and volunteers to guide our newest neighbors through this transition, it is really the whole community -- including you-- that has made this possible.
We invite the entire community-- current and past clients, staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters-- to join us Thursday, June 27th, from 4-7pm at the IRC in San Jose to celebrate!
- Meet our dedicated team and learn about the IRC in San Jose's 40- year history as well as new exciting initiatives.
- Celebrate our newest neighbors who have enriched our community over the past four decades.
- Hear from our Site Manager and other experts in the field about the current state of our office and services and how YOU can help!
- Enjoy local food and refreshments from the San Jose area.
Please register for this free event through our 40th Anniversary Celebration Eventbrite page. Together we will rise to meet the needs of refugees, asylees, survivors of trafficking and other immigrants arriving in San Jose, and continue to support our community for the next 40 years and beyond.
If you are not able to make it to our 40th Anniversary but are still interested in supporting the IRC in San Jose, please make a donation here.
