This fall, Soho Photo Gallery will feature an exhibition focused on the world’s uprooted people, entitled “immigrants." The exhibition focuses on "the uprooted people who cross the world’s borders, driven by nearly infinite variations in human need and desire to leave behind a life they know in exchange for one they do not.” With a variety of styles and approaches, including documentary images, an immersive photo-installation, visual metaphors and conceptual images, twelve photographers explore and present a range of immigrant experiences, statuses, and realities.
Join the curators, Ellen Jacob and Pierre-Yves Linot, for a walkthrough of the exhibition "immigrants" on Thursday, October 10th, from 6-8pm, in New York City. Many of the featured artists will also be present. The event is not ticketed and does not require an RSVP, so please attend and bring a friend!
The exhibition opens September 30th and runs through October 19th, with an opening reception on Tuesday, October 1st from 6-8pm. Soho Photo Gallery is located at 15 White Street in New York City.
