The IRC in Kansas is launching into it's third year of the Kansas Refugee Economic Empowerment Program. The program aims to place VISTA members throughout Wichita and southwest Kansas communities to build capacity through new program development and community relations.

The Front Desk/Intake Volunteer serves as the 1st point of contact for clients and visitors of the IRC. Volunteers will learn to thrive in a multicultural environment by working and communicating with speakers of different languages.
Help newly arrived refugees settle into their new lives in America! This could include: setting up their new apartments, transporting families to school enrollments, or teaching clients how to use public transportation.
