This is a time for fresh starts, starting over and new beginnings. We here at the IRC in Missoula have been fortunate to be with so many families while they experience new beginnings and so many "firsts."

As a communications intern you will be responsible for assisting in the community outreach and communication strategy for the International Rescue Committee in Missoula. You can expect to work on projects as varied as fundraising campaigns to advocacy drives, anywhere that specific messaging is needed. As such, you will be expected to learn about the IRC (history, scope of work, values, ect.), our clients, and trends in refugee resettlement in order to communicate to a variety of audiences in a manner consistent with our messaging. All communication activities will be done in coordination with office staff and under the supervision of the Development Coordinator.

The International Rescue Committee, Missoula's refugee resettlement agency, is holding a fundraiser to support refugees directly this holiday season.

Employment interns teach refugees the skills to navigate the job search process and assist in the following areas: job search, job applications, follow-up on applications and interviews, new hire paperwork and assistance with transportation routes to their place of employment.
