Calling all number-crunchers! The IRC in Salt Lake City is looking for volunteers to help refugees file taxes and claim the credits they have earned.

Have you ever wanted to work as a personal shopper? Do you love neat and tidy stacks of folded clothing? Are you passionate about keeping newly arrived refugees warm for the winter? Join us!

The Financial Capability Instructor will work closely with the IRC in Salt Lake City's Financial Coaches to provide individual and group instruction to refugees and new Americans as they work towards starting their business, saving to buy cars, homes, or participating in career development programs.

The Family Mentor volunteer will provide support to refugee families recently resettled into Salt Lake City. S/he acts as both a mentor and guide to refugees navigating a new community and creates a safe space for the family to practice and build their English skills.

Mentor a New American entrepreneur as they navigate and overcome common obstacles on their path to opening a business, contributing to our community, and reaching self-sufficiency.

On April 27th, nearly 175 community humanitarians attended Journey to the Wasatch, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Salt Lake City’s annual spring fundraising party celebrating the journey hundreds of our refugee neighbors undergo to make their home in Utah.

Going to the doctor's office can be daunting for those of us born in the US, but think about how confusing it can be for those who are new to Utah. We are looking for volunteers with a flexible schedule that can assist refugees as they access the health care system.

Our office is reopening! Front desk volunteers will serve IRC clients as they arrive for appointments at the office.
