New Roots Kicks Off the Season
On a rainy Saturday, community volunteers and gardeners came together at Namaste Community Garden to kick off the spring growing season. This beautiful 100-plot garden space is made possible thanks to St. Thomas Catholic Church, which generously donates the land for the garden.
"Best Field Trip Ever!"
The IRC’s Girls for PEACE group decided Spring Break was the perfect opportunity for a hike. The field trip was an opportunity to build community, see the beautiful state we live in, and provide a reprieve from mid-week Spring Break boredom.

Honoring Mr. Long
Mr. Long is a recognizable face to hundreds of refugees in our community. As a caseworker, he has helped families from all over the world rebuild their lives in Seattle. We wish him a happy retirement after 21 years of service at the IRC!

Nabil's Story
Nabil fled Syria with his parents, brother and two sisters when the war intensified in their home city of Homs. They struggled for four years in neighboring Jordan before being given the opportunity to resettle in the United States in September 2015. Read about Nabil's transition to a new home and community.
