Supporter Spotlight: Kathy, Family Reunification Volunteer
Kathy has dedicated nearly five years making refugees welcome in Washington. Twice a week, she can be found volunteering at the IRC to help community members reunite with their loved ones. Her advice for anyone thinking about volunteering: “Do it! And when you do, be a sponge. We can never know what’s waiting for us to learn, or the impact we’ll have on someone’s life, until we try.”

Get help studying for the naturalization exam! In our upcoming spring classes starting in early April, you'll learn about U.S. history and civics, and have the opportunity to practice your English language skills. This class is free and open to anyone who wishes to apply for U.S. citizenship. Both daytime and evening classes available.
