Local Starbucks Locations to host Giving Wreath Gift Drive for IRC clients
Community members are invited to pick a gift tag from one of the IRC's Giving Wreaths at any local Starbucks location in Wichita or Derby. Items will be given to refugees who have been resettled in Wichita or for those who may arrive in 2018.
Donations Needed: Winter Coats and Blankets for Refugees
The IRC is currently accepting new and gently used donations of winter coats and blankets.
IRC to host upcoming Brown-Bag Luncheons
The Wichita Community is invited to attend one of the IRC's upcoming Brown-bag lunches. These events are free and open to the public, but RSVP is required to attend.
IRC to partner with 15th Annual Tallgrass Film Festival
For the second year in a row the IRC will partner with the Tallgrass Film Festival.
Family Mentors support newly-arrived refugee families and individuals in their adaptation to life in the United States. Through participating in a variety of activities, the mentor will act as both a friend and resource.
Administrative Assistant Volunteer
The Administrative Assistant Volunteer serves as the 1st point of contact for clients and visitors of the IRC. Volunteers will learn to thrive in a multicultural environment by working and communicating with speakers of different languages.
Help newly arrived refugees settle into their new lives in America! This could include: setting up their new apartments, transporting families to school enrollments, or teaching clients how to use public transportation.
English Language Training (ELT) Instructor - Volunteer
Help newly arrived refugees learn English! The IRC's daily ELT classes provide clients with beginning to intermediate level lesson taught by volunteer instructors.

For the second year in the row, the IRC in Wichita and the Wichita Public Library will partner together for The Big Read
