Today, more than 68 million people are displaced around the world. The International Rescue Committee in Tucson in partnership with We Are All America and the University of Arizona invite you to participate in the 2nd annual “Walk a Mile in a Refugee’s Shoes” simulation event.
Walk a Mile in a Refugee's Shoes is a simulation exercise for individuals to gain insights into the lives of refugees around the world. Participants go through various stations that simulate the refugee experience and provide insight into the hardships, the frustrations, and often the pain that refugees endure. This event will also focus on refugee grassroots work being done in Arizona and bring awareness to the #WhereAreAllTheRefugeesCampaign. The campaign focuses on the impact of low refugee admissions in the recent years and how it has affected the Arizona community.
