Cooking demonstration classes to benefit IRC!

Join the IRC and a former IRC client for a cooking demonstration benefitting the IRC. Learn how to make traditional Afghan Chicken Korma and Pakora by former IRC client, Abdul Satar. Abdul will walk participants through the steps to share a traditional and delicious dish with you from his home country of Afghanistan. One that he says, "It is so simple! So easy to make!" 

All ingredients will be prepped beforehand, and all kitchen materials will be provided. Ticket purchase covers one meal cost. Event guests are invited to cook and/or converse in a casual and warm setting and enjoy a nice dinner together afterward!

About our Chef: Abdul came to the IRC from Afghanistan in 2015. Before arriving in the United States he worked as an interpreter for the U.S. Army for 10 years. During his time with the Army he also managed grants and projects to fund and develop programs in the Agricultural sector, focusing on irrigation drip systems in greenhouses. Abdul also has a degree in computer science and is currently participating in job training within his field.
