These are extraordinary times and the world has needed courageous leadership. In the face of long-standing conflicts, the climate crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, our teams have stepped up when others have stepped back. And it is not just our staff who are taking a stand and helping others. Every day, we are seeing acts of leadership among the refugees and displaced people we serve.
On May 20, 2021, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) will host a 45-minute livestream where we will share powerful stories of refugees who have come together to help their communities rebuild and honor the IRC team members who have stepped up under the most challenging circumstances—the pandemic, long-standing conflicts and the climate crisis—to help people survive and recover.
