Please join the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Charlottesville for our annual fundraising event on Wednesday, June 5 at Kardinal Hall.

Each year, the IRC in Charlottesville helps refugees from all over the world to rebuild their lives here in Charlottesville.  Our ongoing programs empower refugees to build careers, start businesses, and become naturalized citizens.  Each of these new Americans has an incredible story to tell. These stories will be the highlight of Refugee Voices: New American Stories, the IRC’s reinvigorated annual fundraiser. Through photos, film, art and stories by feautered guests, event attendees will journey with former refugees across the world and back to Charlottesville, seeing our community through the eyes of a newcomer.

Our program will include remarks from Keynote Speaker, Delegate Kathy Tran, former refugee and Harriet Kuhr, Executive Director of the IRC in Charlottesville.  The program closes with a Fund-a-Need auction where donors pledge their support to the many programs and services the IRC provides.
