New York, NY, June 26, 2018 — The International Rescue Committee (IRC) released a statement responding to U.S. Supreme Court decision on the Country Ban.
Said Jennifer Sime, Senior Vice President, U.S. Programs –
“The IRC is disappointed by today’s Supreme Court decision in the United States, and by the harmful impacts it will have on Muslim families it applies to in the U.S. and internationally.
“IRC will continue to pay close attention to the refugee ban litigation in Washington which challenges similar policies that directly impacts refugees’ ability to enter the US, to find safety and to reunify with their parents, their children, and other family.
“IRC steadfastly supports, and works every day, for the most vulnerable with credible protection needs - regardless of policy, precedent, or rhetoric, and with no bias toward their country of origin or their religious beliefs.”
