A new report published by the IRC and written by the Economist Intelligence Unit details how an absence of global leadership, insufficient funding, and lack of coordination during the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the world’s most vulnerable. Countries have allocated $8 trillion for domestic stimulus packages but only $2 billion for countries impacted by conflict and crisis. Insufficient data in these settings means the full extent of the virus’s spread remains unknown.
