After nearly five years fleeing the violence that overtook their hometown of Hama, Syria, Noor and his wife have finally reached a place where they can provide their children with a future full of opportunity.

It’s hard enough to travel throughout the Central Valley without owning a car. But imagine not even being able to use Lyft or Uber taxi services because you don’t own a car seat to transport your children safely. That’s a challenge that many refugee families who live in the Turlock/Modesto area face on a daily basis.

Having fled their home countries and languished in limbo for months, or even years, refugees arrive to the United States with next to nothing.
