Enabling skilled providers to confidentially, efficiently and effectively identify individuals who have experienced gender-based violence is a crucial part of ensuring that survivors receive care that meets their needs and promotes their safety.

The objective of this case study is to identify lessons learned and recommendations for improving the effectiveness of cash-based interventions in mitigating GBV risks and building women and girls’ resilience.

Little is known about types and drivers of violence and interventions to reduce violence among displaced and host populations in urban areas. To this end, the IRC conducted a systematic review to research the current state of knowledge regarding the drivers of violence, the contributing factors of violence or rights violations, and programming to address violence among displaced and host populations in crisis and post-crisis urban areas.
