October was a busy month for the IRC in Atlanta’s newly-formed Gender Equality Committee, as the group organized special activities to mark both International Day of the Girl and the Atlanta Pride Festival. 

For this year’s International Day of the Girl—observed annually around the world on October 11—the IRC in Atlanta hosted an empowerment celebration to honor the young women in our Youth programs. With support from generous volunteers and donors, students enjoyed an action-packed day of activities, games, setting intentions and having fun with friends!
