Young-chan Han is an English Learner/Title III Specialist with the Maryland State Department of Education. Young-chan Han immigrated from Korea in 1973. For 20+ years, she has built the capacity of educators to effectively engage immigrant families in education. Her "Stages of Immigrant Parent Involvement" has been shared across the country and many districts have adapted this model in planning intervention supports for immigrant families.
