The IRC assists refugees and SIVs in securing employment upon arrival in the U.S., in addition to supporting them as they advance their careers and move towards achieving financial goals. Through job training, resume workshops, mock interviews, vocational scholarships, Vocational English as Second Language (VESL) classes, financial education, and other services, we offer refugees the tools they need to succeed in meeting their short and long-term professional and financial goals.

Thanks to funds provided by IRC donors in response to February's emergency appeal, the IRC in Sacramento is expanding economic empowerment workshops for women this summer. Meet two of the participants.

Our Immigration Department strives to ensure equal protection under the law and civic integration of refugees and immigrants, as aspiring new Americans, by assisting them to achieve U.S. citizenship.

The IRC's Immigration Department can help any immigrant population to petition to bring family members to the U.S., apply for citizenship, green cards, work authorization, travel documents, and more.
