Between 2019 and 2021, the IRC partnered with Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt and Tufts University for the Finance in Displacement (FIND) research project, which interviewed over 280 forcibly displaced persons (FDPs) in Jordan, Kenya, Uganda and Mexico. The final report brings to light the challenges FDPs face in accessing economic opportunities and puts forth a financial health framework for measuring progress against these challenges.

Community scorecards are often conceived as a tool to exact greater accountability and responsiveness from services providers, as well as being a strong instrument for community empowerment. However, little is known about the impact of this type of social accountability tool, and even less so in conflict-affected and fragile contexts like that of eastern Congo.

The Violence, Prevention and Response (VPR) unit implements programming that prevents violence against women, children, especially girls, and other vulnerable groups, and responds to it when it does occur.
